The Challenge

Human Resources at Daimler Trucks North America asked us to explore potential digital solutions to help improve their employee onboarding process. The goal was to make the Daimler onboarding experience better than ever – from pre-arrival to the first day to the first week and beyond — for both the new hires and the managers responsible for them.

Our Approach

We worked with stakeholders throughout DTNA to guarantee our solution would address the needs of HR while satisfying the technical requirements of IT. Collaboration was key in understanding existing onboarding workflows from across the corporation, then organizing and presenting them in an intuitive, user-friendly web experience.


The Result

The Onboarding Assistant is a comprehensive solution used by DTNA to ensure efficient and effective new employee onboarding. Hosted on, we centralized onboarding information in a sequence of interactive web features to help facilitate a seamless onboarding experience, both for DTNA managers and new hires. An interactive checklist-style interface powered by a custom API integration facilitates efficient and standardized onboarding for new employees while reducing work for managers. The DTNA Onboarding Assistant ensures that all new Daimler hires have the tools to succeed from the very beginning.
